Reading about Science: Ecosystems

Today we found great books to read!

7th graders Melody and Kevin enjoy looking for interesting facts in their non-fiction ARC books.

We have started a unit about ecosystems. 
We have new ARC books to read .
Each student has chosen their own ecosystem to research.  
Each student will be designing his or her own blog page that will contain a lot of information and include drawings and photos of their ecosystem.

Quarter 2 Honor Ceremonies

On February 14 & 15, students at Leman Middle School were honored for excellent grades.

El 14 y 15 de febrero, los estudiantes en LMS recibieron honores por sus calificaciones buenas.

The highest distinction is the DISTINGUISHED certificate. These students have all As. For the Orange Team, two students earned this top honor.
El honor mas alto es lo de DISTINGUIDO.  Estos estudiantes recibieron calificaciones de nada mas que las As. Del equipo Orange, dos estudiantes ganaron este certificado.

Holiday Gingerbread Houses

We had fun making gingerbread houses the day before our winter break.

Holiday Party

This year we celebrated the holidays with a party.  A very kind woman, Valerie Tucker, from the community treated us to a typical American holiday meal.  She gave each students a present of a Spanish/English student dictionary. We also played games together.  It was so much fun!

Este año celebramos la temporada con una fiesta.  Una mujer amable, Valerie Tucker, de la comunidad nos invitaron a una comida típica americana para un día de fiesta: pavo y papas y mas. Nos regaló un diccionario visual a cada uno.  También jugamos juegos juntos. Nos divertimos mucho!

Movie Club

 Students who behave well all week can come to Mrs. Green's room during lunch on Friday to watch a movie!

Team-building fun

Once a month the entire team gets together to play some team-building games.

Una vez por mes, el equipo entero se une para jugar juegos para mejorar nuestra solidaridad.
